| In time, it is hoped that there will be all manner of helpful stuff here including chord sheets, TAB links, even backing tracks I have made for my pupils. For now, here are a few pointers: Teaching and Learning. I do one, you do the other. But if you don't do your bit, then my part is worthless.... The One Rule to ring them all... There are a lot of 'rules' in music, but they all boil down to this one. "The Amazing Slowdowner". A really useful piece of software... Try the demo! My teaching examples for electric guitar pupils are often drawn from the "Best Air Guitar Album in the World" series- I recommend you buy all three for an instant collection of 127 classic guitar tracks from Bill Haley to Yngwie Malmsteen! Bargain. Can't go wrong... Click the albums below for track listings, and links to my chord sheets for a few of the tracks. These sheets (downloadable gif files, incidentally) are not TAB, generally; there's enough of that on the web already. They are proper chord charts and/or music which I have transcribed. Yes, with proper barlines and everything... I don't insist all my pupils learn to read music notation, but I do insist that they learn to COUNT and play in time! |
