"Music is the silence between the notes" - Claude Debussy |
The OTHER things we do... |
Clwb Alawon - Tune Club Neil runs these two-hour acoustic workshops at the new Galeri centre in Caernarfon, roughly once a month. All instrumentalists are welcome, to join in learning traditional tunes (mostly Welsh) in an informal atmosphere. Sheet music is provided, but bring your ears as well!

Neil's Instrumental Teaching Neil teaches guitar (both electric and acoustic), mostly at the William Mathias Music Centre at the new Galeri centre in Caernarfon. As you might expect there are a number of accordion and folk stringed instrument pupils too. He also occasionally helps people out with computer sequencing and recording. Teaching can be in English or Welsh.

Our ceilidh/twmpath band: Band Y Braichmelyn The evolution of Never Mind the Bocs owes quite a lot to our dance band, which has been in existence since the late 80's. It has to take second place to Never Mind the Bocs concert and festival dates these days, but the band is still active in our local area.

Cajuns Denbo Both Neil and Pete also play with this Welsh-language cajun band. After two successful albums on Sain records, a third album is now out on our own label, 'Joscyn Records'.

The Cane Toads Pete plays several instruments, but when he plays drums with this lively blues & roots trio, he doesn't have to worry about whay key to play in. Just when to start and stop. The Toads have recently released a fine CD, 'The Roadkill Tapes'.
